The FTP Security report lists security related information for FTP file transfers including user ID, dataset name, IP addresses, login method and encryption details.

 

It is generated from SMF type 119 records subtypes 3 and 70. The report is divided into Server and Client tabs.

Filter by dataset or file name.

Filter by FTP command.

Filter by FTP file type.

IP Addr

Filter by local or remote IP address.

Login

Filter by login method.

Protection

Filter by protection mechanism.

Protocol

Filter by TLS protocol level.

Cipher

Filter by cipher.

FIPS 140

Filter by FIPS 140 status.

Time

The time the record was written (transfer completion).

System

The system that wrote the record.

User

z/OS Userid.

Dataset

Dataset or file name.

Command

FTP command.

File Type

FTP file type (SEQ, JES, SQL).

Component

TCP/IP subcomponent. FTPS, FTPC, SFTPS etc.

Remote User

FTP client remote user.

Login

Login method

Protection

Protection mechanism: None, TLS, GSSAPI, AT-TLS

Control

Control connection protection level

Data

Data connection protection level

Protocol

Protocol level for TLS or AT-TLS connections

Cipher

Cipher specification for TLS or AT-TLS connections

FIPS 140

FIPS 140 status

Local IP

Local IP address for the control connection.

Local Data IP

Local IP address for the data connection. This will normally be the same as the control connection. It is only shown if there are entries where the data connection address is different to the control connection.

Remote IP

Remote IP address for the control connection.

Remote Data IP

Remote IP address for the data connection. This will normally be the same as the control connection. It is only shown if there are entries where the data connection address is different to the control connection.

Local Port

Local port for the control connection.

Remote Port

Remote port for the control connection.

Local Data Port

Local port for the data connection.

Remote Data Port

Remote port for the data connection.
