The Telnet Activity report lists general information about telnet/TN3270 connections including user ID, IP addresses application id, encryption and performance information.

 

It is generated from SMF type 119 records subtypes 20, 21, 22 and 23. The report is divided into Server and Client tabs.

Session start time (UTC).

Session termination reason.

Session duration.

Avg Resp

Average response time, if performance information is being collected.

Avg IP Resp

Average IP portion of response time, if performance information is being collected.

Bytes In

Inbound byte count

Bytes In/Sec

Bytes in per second. Not useful for most sessions where there is significant wait time.

Bytes Out

Outbound byte count

Bytes Out/Sec

Bytes out per second. Not useful for most sessions where there is significant wait time.
